Jimena Ramirez

Coach Jimena’s passion for nutrition stems from her own health and fitness journey. At age 14, she was diagnosed with Lupus and over the last 12+ years, Jimena has managed to go medication-free after working hard on her own nutrition and lifestyle.

Jimena grew up in Argentina and has been bilingual since she was five years old. She studied English for 10 years, then English-Spanish Certified Translation at Buenos Aires University. She later specialised in medical translation as well as nutrition, fitness, and weightlifting specialised translation and interpretation.

Jimena found CrossFit in 2013 when she was 27. Not having played any sports growing up, CrossFit ignited a new passion for all things health and fitness. She was a competitive athlete for four years, competing in the CrossFit Games Regionals in 2014 as a part of a team.

After finding CrossFit, Jimena took a leap and began studying nutrition (first on her own, then through specialised certifications and courses) and she's now working towards her Master’s degree as a Dietitian. She has been a nutrition coach for more than six years and has worked with hundreds of clients from all walks of life. Jimena combines her experience with an integrative, evidence-based approach to health as well as performance. She works with clients English- and Spanish-speaking clients.

Coach Jimena has worked with recreational and professional/Olympic level athletes from CrossFit, weightlifting, swimming, team sports and endurance sports. Her unique perspective allows her to understand clients who struggle with mindset—and to support them with changing their habits—as well as those who are pursuing all levels of athletic performance goals. As a nutrition coach, she focuses on helping clients finding ways to foster healthy relationships with food through lasting and sustainable lifestyle adjustments, while simultaneously working on their self-acceptance.

When she's not working, she's usually reading (or studying), training in her home gym, travelling, enjoying time with her partner (and their five dogs), or fostering a new dog.
